Park and Creek Cleanup Day

Location: Central Park (Lake Elizabeth), Fremont – We will be working in the Nature Area and along Mission Creek

Date: Sat, May 4th, 2013

Time: 9 AM to 1 PM

Volunteer Instructions:

Dress Code:

1. Wear Rubber boots if you have one, so you could get in the streams to pick up litter

2. Casual clothes

3. If you have any garden gloves, please bring with you (we will have some rubber latex gloves)

Tasks:

1. Weed removal

2. Trash cleanup along creeks and park

3. Probably some wood chips spreading

(We will provide tools for the required tasks)

On the event day, as volunteers come in, we need everyone to fill out a waiver form given by the City. Also for every minor (child), the parent/guardian needs to fill out a form too. High school kids remember to bring in your school form, to obtain community service hours.

Park and Creek Cleanup Day was held on May 4th, 2013, at Stivers Lagoon, in Fremont CA, in partership with Bharati Tamil Sangham. Collectively, 39 volunteer hours was donated to this community service!
